April 24, 2024 House Fire

On April 24, 2024, deputies were dispatched to a structure fire at a residence on Hwy 84 in Malvern, AR. The homeowner was severely injured and med flighted to a hospital in Little Rock, AR. Sadly, the homeowner succumbed to his injuries on May 07, 2024.

Investigators with JS HELD, Southwest VFD, and the Sheriff's Office determined the fire/explosion was accidental and related to a propane leak.
